Trip Ideas

A 50th birthday trip to Scottsdale.

A big birthday is a good excuse to get your favorite people to one place for a few days. By 50, most groups want good food, sunshine, a real bed and time to talk, rather than a loud night out. Scottsdale does all of that well, especially from October to April.

Making it easy

The celebration is for the guests staying at the house. Parties and outside guests are not permitted, so book a restaurant or venue for anything bigger.

The house

Paradise Reserve sleeps up to 16 in six bedrooms, five of them king suites with their own bathroom, so a big family can stay under one roof. It has a chef’s kitchen and formal dining for shared meals, an outdoor BBQ and covered patio, a pool and spa, a golf simulator, a putting green and a pickleball court. Events and parties are not permitted at the house, and quiet hours apply.
