Tips for a group

  • •Go early: the trail has little shade.
  • •Turn around when ready: it is an out-and-back trail, so slower hikers can turn back at any point.
  • •Watch for wildlife: rattlesnakes are active in warm months. Stay on the trail.
  • •Be prepared: Carry more water than you think you need, start early, wear sturdy shoes and a hat, and turn back if anyone in the group is struggling.
