The Scottsdale ballparks
- •Scottsdale Stadium (San Francisco Giants). A classic downtown ballpark in Old Town, opened in 1955, with a capacity of about 12,000. Walk to dinner and bars after the game.
- •Salt River Fields at Talking Stick (Diamondbacks and Rockies). A modern 140-acre complex off the Loop 101 near Indian Bend Road, seating about 11,000, with a big lawn beyond the outfield. Two teams means a home game most days.
Most of the other Cactus League parks, from Sloan Park in Mesa to the West Valley stadiums, are within roughly 30 to 60 minutes of North Scottsdale depending on traffic, so it is easy to see several teams in one trip.
