Things to Do

Shopping in Scottsdale: where to go and what to expect.

For many groups, a Scottsdale trip includes at least one shopping afternoon, usually when it is too hot for the pool or someone needs a break from golf. The city has three main shopping centers, and each has a different feel. Here is how they compare.

Planning a shopping day

  • •Pair it with lunch: Kierland and the Quarter have plenty of patios. See lunch spots in North Scottsdale.
  • •Split the group: shoppers at Kierland, golfers on the course, everyone back at the house by late afternoon.
  • •Hot day plan: Fashion Square is fully indoors.

Where to stay

Paradise Reserve has six bedrooms for up to 16 guests, five of them king suites with their own bathroom, plus a pool and spa, a golf simulator, a putting green and a pickleball court. Events and parties are not permitted at the house, and quiet hours apply. For more ideas, see things to do in North Scottsdale.
