Day Trips

Arcosanti, Paolo Soleri’s desert experiment.

Arcosanti is the experimental town that the architect Paolo Soleri began building in the high desert north of Phoenix. Its concrete vaults and apses look like nowhere else in Arizona. For anyone who enjoyed Cosanti or Taliesin West, it is a fascinating half day.
